You don't have to be an agronomist or expert, or have a large field to make a garden. Now you can set up a small garden at home. You just need to put a lot of desire, will, enthusiasm and some organization. It is a very suitable activity to share with the little ones in the house.

In addition to teaching them to remove the earth, observe and care for the plants, and thus acquire more affection for the environment, it can also represent a good savings for the home. Children love crafts, which they can develop either by themselves or as a family. They have fun and entertain themselves and, at the same time, develop their imagination and fantasy. However, these activities should always be carried out by children under the supervision of an adult.

An ideal activity, with which the smallest of the house will have fun building it and playing with it. However, children should always have adult supervision for the development of this craft. The whole family will be able to grow and have the vegetables that they like the most, inside the home. For a small home garden, the size of the plants should be taken into account. The best thing is to choose the small ones, more than anything for the space. It is also advisable to choose certified seeds to ensure a good harvest. Let's do it!!!

- A wooden box (those of greengrocers or supermarkets) or wicker.
- Plastic for lining
- A small shovel and a rake
- A shower cabin
- Land
- Seeds of vegetables or other vegetables (lettuce, tomato ...) or aromatic plants such as thyme, basil, and oregano

1. To start setting up the garden, the first thing is to put on suitable gloves for the job, and determine the place where the garden will be located. It is advisable that it be a place where it receives a lot of sunlight for a few hours. When buying the seeds, you have to check if they are certified because that is important for a good harvest.

2. The next step is to clean the box well, file the edges if necessary and if necessary, you can also varnish the box on the outside. Once this is done, the inside of the box must be lined with plastic (the one used in construction sites to protect the floor). Use staples to fix it well to the bottom of the box. It is recommended to make some small holes in the lower part to ensure that the excess water from the irrigation does not accumulate in the roots and can rot the plant. Then fill the entire space with a thick layer of soil.

3. Next, with the help of the rake, you have to make small furrows in the earth to introduce the chosen seeds. In the packages they sell usually come the amount of grains to put and even indicate the best time to grow them. You must respect the sowing calendar of each plant. Then, lightly cover the seeds, and water.

4. The garden in a pot or in a box, as in any other container, will require more watering and compost than if it were in open ground. Now it only remains to control the presence of pests, and wait for our garden to give us some sign of life and the vegetables begin to sprout.
